Here are some of our favorite pictures of Raleigh over the last few weeks. This is her first bath; she was very unhappy, but now she loves to get a bath. I absolutely love the picture of her and Eric sleeping. They are both sleeping with their mouths open! So cute. And the other picture is her at the zoo in the new stroller. We bought a double stroller for the kids. Thank goodness for whoever invented those things! She can sit in the front and Cole and sit or stand up in the back. Makes life much easier! She is doing great! I will do another post later with more pictures of her and Cole.

Our life the last few weeks
Ok, so I'm finally getting around to creating a blog. Eric and I both have family out of town, so we thought it would be a good idea to do this so we could update our family and friends on us, but most importantly, our kids. I wanted to start by showing some pictures of us on Valentine's Day. Look at that belly! I looked and felt like I was about to pop! And indeed I was; she was born 3 days later.
As most of you know, Eric, myself and big brother Cole welcomed the newest member of our family, Raleigh Jean Michelin, a few weeks ago. Raleigh was born on February 17 at 5:59 p.m. weighing 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long. She is absolutely beautiful and we are so blessed to have two amazing children. Cole is wonderful with her; we simply could not ask for him to be any better. He is always kissing her and trying to soothe her when she cries. It is precious to see him interact with his sister. A lot of people ask how we came up with the name, Raleigh. Honestly, we just like that name. There is no history behind that name, and no, as many people have asked, she was not conceived there. In fact, I'm not sure either one of us have ever been there. Jean, however, is a family name. It is Eric's grandmother's middle name, Mandi's middle name, (or as Cole calls her, Aunt Dee) and my grandmother and mother's middle names as well. So, we covered a lot of women on both sides of the family and made them happy.
We are so thrilled our baby girl is finally here. We feel so lucky to have a healthy boy and girl. It's nice to be able to say that we are a family of four. A little crazy, but nice! Who would have thought that when Eric and I got married, almost five years later we would have two children. Life is good.
